Enter Into the Joy Of Your Master

Matthew 25:14-30

Key Verse 21 & 23: ““His Master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.  You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Master.’”

1. Look at verses 14-15. 
   1. What was the reason the Master entrusted His property to his servants? 
   2. How did He distribute His property to them?
   3. What do you think a talent represents?
   4. What do you think is the difference between a talent and an ability?
2. Look at verses 16-18. 
   1. What did each servant do with their talents? 
   2. Who made a profit and who didn’t?  Why do you think each got the result they had?
3. Look at verses 19-23. 
   1. What did the Master do with his servants when he returned after a long time? 
   2. Why do you think the Master’s response was the same for both the man with 5 talents and 2 talents, even though they had different results? 
   3. What do you think it means to ‘Enter into the joy of your Master’?
4. Look at verses 24-28. 
   1. Why do you think the servant, given one talent, called his Master a ‘hard man’ and was ‘afraid’ of him? What do you think this shows about the servant? 
   2. What did the Master call the servant and what did he do with his talent?
5. Look at verses 29-30.  
   1. What principle did Jesus use to describe the judgment of the three servants? 
   2. What else did the wicked servant lose besides the one talent?
