The Workers Are Few

Matthew 9:35-38

Key verse: 9:38

“Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Read verse 35.  Where did Jesus go?  What three things did he do?  Why is teaching the Bible important?  Why do people need to hear the good news of the kingdom?  Why did Jesus also heal the sick?

 Read verse 36.  How did Jesus view the crowds?  How were they like sheep?  Why did they need a shepherd?  How can you be a shepherd for others?  

Read verses 37-38.  Who was Jesus speaking to?  Why did Jesus say that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few?  What did Jesus tell his disciples to do?  What can we be harvest workers now and in the future?
